Sign of Spring

I took one day off, just to try to get the smell of Spring.
Well, I found it :)
This short is filmed on one day, and I started on the mountain near my home and the last clip was filmed on a island 45 min by boat from my home.
The sky changed through the day from clear blue to cloudy and then blue again. I managed to capture the Common Goldeneye, Oystercathcer, a Swan swimming on the fjord and at last a Tussilago farfara (Colt's-foot).
I guess the summer is on it's way, after all :)

Geir, what a wonderful little treat to watch while drinking coffee on a Saturday morning in Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you so much. Bob

Now I'm just waiting for the rain to stop, and maybe I can get out and find signs of spring too. If work doesn't get in the way too . . . . . .

Thanks for a beautiful reminder of life outside.

That was beautiful Geir!
One of these days maybe I can make a trip up your way and do some shooting!

Beautifull sceneries and relaxing audio on bacground very well done Greg. I like to ask how do you keep your shots so steady filiming from boat.
We have been filming marin mammals from our 20 foot boat using canon xl2 and a steady stic but videos are not steady and have not been able to find a reasonable priced equipment to improve the quality . Any hints will be appreciated. kal-mary

Hi Mary.
Well, I'm not actually filming from a boat and maybe I need to practise my English a little bit more:)
It took me 45 min by boat (ferry) to travel to the island where I'm filming the oystercathcher, gulls and Goldeneye, all shots taken from land. The swan was filmed further inside the fjord, where I'm tilting from sea to mountains. Suddenly she was there, swimming alone on the fjord.

Hi Geir

I think it was more my missuderstanding your writing than tour bad english ( my home language is finnish ) , and remember that most folks on this side of the ocean only speak one language. Looking forward to see more your filming - kal

I've been really busy these days, touring my area for good stories :)

Thank you Annie, Bob and Kevin for comments.
Maybe I was too early to wish Spring welcome, now we've got snow blizzard.
I had plans to film the grey herron this year as they breed in a wood close to my house. They have allready taken place in their nest in the three tops, it's very cool to watch'em landing in the treetop.

Geir Inge, nice film you got there! Today there is no sign of spring here in Oslo. It's snowing heavily and you can almost go skiing in the streets. My plan of making a spring video this Easter is delayed!!!
