Dust
I'm going to be shooting a lot of mountain biking with a Canon DV20. I know from previous experience that lots of fine dust is part of the territory. Anyone have any tips for minimizing camera exposure? Looking at the camcorder it looks like I could do anything from a personally tailored plastic bag to something more sophisticated. Just seeing if anyone has some experience with this and what was practical and effective.

Hi Bob,
When I shoot horse shows, either inside or outside, I just use a folded hand towell or an old cloth diaper to cover the Cam. Seems to keep the "Dusties" away for me, and I'm usually shooting all day long. If I was moving about, as you may be, then I would secure it with a velcro strap. You could also try an inverted Zip Lock bag of appropriate size, and cut a hole for the lens and mic. Harold |
BOB,
Try clingwrap for hamburgers with cutouts for controls, Herman. |
Both good suggestions. Thanks very much. Bob
