Thoughts and prayers for Bruce Foreman and his family...

He wrote me that his brother is very, very ill with a series of complications following back surgery. So Bruce will not be able to be present for the completion of UWOL #6. He says to send his apologies to the players for his absence.

Time to rally the good vibes of UWOL and send them out to Bruce and his brother and his family....every bit helps!

Trond Saetre November 25th, 2007 10:51 AM

Oh, that is so sad. I really hope Bruce's brother will recover well and soon.
My thoughts are with you Bruce!

Kevin Railsback November 25th, 2007 11:39 AM

Bruce Foreman November 27th, 2007 12:11 AM

To all of you who have expressed well wishes and concern, my heartfelt thanks. This is a very special bunch of people.

They took him off the ventilator as a last test to see if he would breath on his own. He has been totally non responsive to any stimulus since vascular collapse Friday night. And they also wanted to do a brain scan which they had been unable to do with him on the ventilator. Breathing did not resume.

The scan showed a massive cerebral hemmhorage so in essence he has been gone since Friday night.

I got this news while driving through Dallas on my way to West Virginia, where other family will be gathering.

Once again your expressions of concern and hope have to be very typical of the fine and caring people you are. Just cherish your family members and friends while you have them.

tough news...i know we are all very sorry to hear it--and holding you in our thoughts and prayers.

Steven Gotz November 27th, 2007 02:49 PM

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I lost one of my brothers a little over a year ago, and to be honest, I am not sure that the impact has hit me yet. It appears that it takes time for it to seem real.

The rest of the family needs to pull together as much as possible, but there will always be that hole in the fabric of the family.
