Thanks Per Johan, I’m pleased you liked the video. The warbler was shot with my XL1s. The salamander was shot with my new XLH1a the day after I got it using the presets that you recommended. I still have a lot of things to learn with this camera but I’m feeling more confident with it each day. UWOL helps more than I expected and I wish I had got involved sooner. The macro was shot with a Canon 100-400 with a 500D diopter. I need a dedicated macro lens, but first I must upgrade my tripod head!

The salamander footage was terrific. I would have prefered you to pan with the salamander as he did his turn about. Now, thinking about it, was there any ambient audio in the background? I was so absorbed I did not even notice! I agree about the bird sequence, probably better to keep it totally a bird sequence unless a hawk comes down on the salamander, they do like them. thanks for taking the time. How long did it take you to find one to film????? |
