VO in the video explains what it is about.

The recordings are made from 1 to 30 November and during this period the weather and lighting conditions have been very changeable.
I have followed my original plan (A) though I also had plans for recording aurora and name it as an result of an sun storm. As you can see, this didn't happen.
The birds singing are original recordings and filmed before the first winter storm.
In Norway, we now have the darkest time of the year, only a few hours of daylight where I live.
During november we have had sno, rain, fog, sunshine and stormy weather.
Filming weather gives us some challenges, right? Still, it has been fun.
Among other things, I visited my local photo shop to buy rain cover for Canon 5DM3 camera.
The shop owner refused to sell me this. Why?
Save your money, he said and told me to go home using plastic bread bags because it is much cheaper.
I did not think there were such people anymore, simply a wonderful human being if you ask me.

I've used 4 different cameras, which are:
Canon 5DM3, Canon XLH1, GoPro3 + and Phantom 3 (drone camera) and edited in Sony Vegas Pro.
I've used stabilizer on some recordings, but wind is wind, right?
Wish I had more time, especially for correction of light and color.
I got the flu, everything gets a little heavier then (somewhat self-care: poor me, haha).

I hope you are feeling a bit better?

What a masterful film -- both in artistry and storytelling. It certainly is on theme and it delivers in every way: beautiful, informative, captivating, and amusing (I wish I could shovel snow that fast! ;-)).

Your GOPRO shots are spectacular and give us a much needed perspective of the rugged coast line where you live. I thought the lift through the fog was a show-stopper, same with the vertical view straight down the cliff. I did find the GOPRO direction adjustments at ~ 1:07 and ~ 1:34 a bit choppy and detracted from the flow of the footage, where as the direction change at the very end was breathtaking!

I also think the bird audio opening the film was delightful and the flow of VO and music very well done.

Finally, In the windy scenes, I actually didn't find the wind shake distracting but it added to the sense of how brutal it was out there! I'm glad you stabilized those scenes to what it was, it really told the story.

You make beautiful films, Geir!

Boy, does the drone add depth to your filming of the countryside!!!

The naration is very fine and done at an enjoyable pace. For someone like myself who has a difficult time with any kind of accents (My wife says I am linguisticly impaired) yours was clearly understandable for me!!!!

Hats off to you for getting this done while being under the "weather"! Certainly no fun being sick.

I think Cat covered a lot of what I was going to say. Such beautiful country!
Loved the light with the rocks, water and birds like at :47.

Amazing shots of the wind whipping the sea into the air like that!

You're pretty brave flying your drop over the cliff like that! You're never getting it back if you have a failure that's for sure!!

Hope your feeling better! You have a beautiful country. The wind, rain, snow and fog just add character!

Hi Geir,
Another lovely film from you! Wow what a coastline you have there, & you show it off so beautifully! I loved your VO, very nicely timed, & informative too.
Your bird shots (and sounds) at the beginning were absolutely stunning. The shots of the wind blowing up the sea were fantastic, & i'm still not sure how you got such stable footage in that wind! Well done.
I would add to what Cat commented on about the abrupt change of direction in a couple of the drone shots. The first one i think you could have maybe just used the part of the clip after the change in direction & even slowed it down to fill in the time?? Interestingly the footage doesn't seem to have rendered out very well from the Phantom drone. There seems to be a lot of artifacting & some of it looks like maybe you have slowed it down too much.
Minor points though & overall i really liked your film. Well done getting it all put together under the circumstances.

The shots of both the wildlife and the weather were great. I also enjoyed seeing some views of the town and finding out about it some more. Really well done.

I just love the way you tell a story, your voice over has a wonderful kind of flow to it which makes it soothing to hear.
The aerial footage is amazing and it takes the story wonderfully around, i suppose there is one place over the green mountains where there is a pan/ turn in the quad which is a bit jarring but apart from that i find it wonderful all the way.

Hi all.
Just in to say thank you for your feedback, which I appreciate very much.
I will try to give you all feedback to your videos during the upcoming weekend.
My illness went from bad to worse, as I now have the flu + a painful stomach.
I'm not in the mood for much objective criticism right now, I hope you understand :)
The doctor says I'll be good in a few days, let's hope he's right.
The first thing I did was to record my VO, early in Nowember.
I shot a lot of video for this round, but time ran out on me because of illness.
Therefore I chose to deliver a video at all, instead of ending up in the shark tank.
As soon as I'm up and going I'll do a re-edit.
Just a comment to you Cat.
I am not sure which clips you are aiming for when you comment on my GoPro recordings?
Just to specify, my areal footage is taken with Phantom 3 which has its own camera (not GoPro).
I have two clips that are filmed with GoPro, the one of the rainbow and the one of the rain in front of the forest.
I have seen some of the videos and even I don't feel much like talking or writing I feel I'm in heaven.
Your videos -they are so good.
Now - back to bed.

No worries about my comment, certainly not important and I'm sorry to confuse matters by thinking the aerial shots were taken with a Go Pro and not a Phantom 3.

Geir Inge, very beautiful video and a polished work, as usual. I thought the aerial shots added a lot of value to you production - reminded me a lot of the BBC series ¨Coast¨.
And your inimitable commentary added to a great story!

Very nice film you made.
I don't have much to add to what has already been said.
The aerial shots over the edge of the cliffs were my favorites. You have some rough weather and landscape there.

You got the new phantom 3 now? Except for the much extended flight times, any other features that makes it worth upgrading from p1? (The camera is better than the gopro3?) The video quality of the aerial shots, looked good to me.

I forgot to answer two questions.

To you Bryce about the wind.
I have a car window tripod that i use (see attached photo).
I use my car as a wind shield and sit inside my car when recording.
It's very helpful at these weather conditions.

To you Trond about my Phantom 3.
I love my Phantom and don't regret the change from Phantom 1.
It's so much better in many ways.
You can make it follow a person, circle around a point or follow a route, automatic .
Just to mention a few things I couldn't do with my Phantom 1.

I have been thinking for a long time about getting one of those window mounts. At the same time, i've been thinking about making my own. Something that i could use my 100mm bowl tripod head & mount it to a 100mm bowl that i mount to the window. You may have just pushed me to get out in the workshop and finally get it done!

I'm not handy, but I have a younger brother who helps me out whenever I ask :)

Geir, hope you are feeling better. That's fantastic video. I could almost get dizzy watching the drone flying over those cliffs good looking straight down into the ocean. My only thought was my God I hope it doesn't get in the water. Some of my favorite shots were the ones of the water spray being whipped up by the wind. Doesn't all that wind affect your phantom 3? I must say that after watching your footage, and those of Kevin and some of the others that are using drones I can definitely see one in my future. A question on your window clamp, which camera are you using that wig? I am filming with a Canon X F 300 and I was wondering if that would be strong enough. You surely do you live in a wild and beautiful place. Someday I would like to visit there. Great job. Bob

I have an old Canon XLH1 camera and i think it's a bit too heavy/big for my car window tripod.
In this video I have used my Canon 5D Mark3 camera with a 105mm objective.
It worked fine, the shaking you can see in the video is in fact my car shaking as the wind take grip :)
If you ever come to Norway you have to say in front, so we can meet.
I would be happy to show you around. I'm sure Trond will too.

Geir, what I always like about your films is that you take the viewer on a journey. You invite them in and whether the plan works or not (no toads found on the first attempt a few rounds back) there is a relatable story. There was a good variety of shots that helped build this story, and all the elements came together to make it a very engaging film. Even small details were great, the shot of one bird remaining when all others flew away, the sliver of rainbow in an otherwise monochromatic shot, and water being whipped up by the winds.

I, like Cat, did find a couple of the camera moves on the drone distracting. I think the issue is that everything else is smooth - the Phantom moves fairly smoothly, and the turning of the gimbal is smooth enough, but when the start or end of the gimbal turning is too sudden it stands out and takes something away from the viewer enjoying the beauty of the shot. I haven't used the controller so I don't know how sensitive it is, and I'm not aware of settings to smooth out user input. I have also seen abrupt moves in many other videos so I'm thinking it's challenging. Still great footage, and it's funny how something seemingly so small could make a difference to the end result.

Really enjoyed your entry, and thanks for sharing the ferocity of the wind, and the breathtaking landscape. Was that the same Lighthouse used in the fun round?

It happens often when I swing/turn the drone turns fast.
I Wonder If it fan help me out to put on a filter (Grey or uv)?

Yes, it is the same lighthouse as in the fun game.
Perhaps I should pick an other location this time, but I wanted to show how people cope with the elements.
It's a great plate to relax, surfing and kite surfing.
