UWOL 55 part 2- update- what happens
 

Hi guys,

Latest info seems to be that many countries plan to gradually open up again during the next months.

Maybe I'm a little optimistic, but I hope we might be able to restart UWOL55 in early July. It will be a 2-month challenge. Decision to start or delay, will be made in the middle of June.

The sign-up thread will be posted 2 weeks prior to theme release.
As mentioned before, if you already have signed up for UWOL 55, you are automatically signed up for "relaunch of UWOL55 part 2."

Updates will be posted in this thread.

If you have any news about when it will be possible to do some film making in your country, feel free to comment in this thread.

Looks like I won't likely be able to participate this time. The Peruvian government just announced that we will be under mandatory quarantine at least for another 39 days until June 30.

I'll be looking forward to what everyone else comes up with, though! Hope you and your families are all safe and well.

Earliest deadline will be August 31, but further delays may be required, depending how the restrictions around the world develops.

We're able to travel within the state and gatherings will be allowed next week - we're in a pretty good position here in Aus so I'll get out there

Texas is in phase 2 of the USA reopening plan. Most business are open though some at 50%. My wife and I have even been able to eat out. I'm praying we all get out of this mess soon.

Here in Canadian Prairies no problems filming, just stay away from people. Im going to make a concerted effort, even if I have to get my old Gl2 out and shoot retro. Last time I signed up my camera dìed, again.
We are finally in a new normal and the pandemic strikes.
Is there a sign up or wait till July?

I plan to post a signup thread, June 15, with theme release July 1.
It will be a 2-month challenge.

It seems like more and more countries are gradually lifting their restrictions, so hopefully it is realistic to have a July/August challenge.

Notice that if necessary, the challenge can be further postponed, but this is the plan as of today.

Update June 13:

UWOL 55 will be re-launched with theme release July 1.
The signup thread will be opened again as soon as possible.

As mentioned earlier, everyone who originally signed up, is automatically signed up for the re-launch.

Due to the corona pandemic still being a major factor, I will for this challenge bend the rules a little, and keep the signup open until August 10.

Deadline for the challenge, will be August 31, midnight.


Hope all of you will be able to participate, even though there might be restrictions in your areas.
