Beautiful work Per. I really liked the slow motion effect with the birds.

I once heard a judge at a PPofA competition say of a portrait he was critiquing,
"Now this is a portrait we all wish we had done". So in addition to feeling the same as everyone before me has said... "This is a video I wish very much I had achieved". Gosh, it is beautiful and very, very skillfully done. Bruce Foreman |
Hi Per
That was most excellent! Bravo!
Your film was well thought out and extremely well executed. :) I really liked the silhoette shot with the gull. Looked wonderful. Did you happen to use a star filter on that one sunset shot (where the sun is very small)? The music was Enyaesque and I really liked it too. I thought it contributed well to the feel of your film. Did you happen to capture the wind with your Sennheiser mic? Nice. Last question: towards the beginning, I saw you had what looked like a dad with a Canon camera and two kids. Was wondering if you might share more in that shot? Well done! Best wishes~ Bradley PS: I have a dear friend who lives in Norawy and hope to visit her someday. Perhaps we can meet. |
You dug deep to give us west-facing and east-facing vistas, Per Johan. How you got the sky to move faster and still appear smooth baffles me, even if your tripod was frozen into the ice. The snow blowing off the high cliffs was thrilling and completely new to me and this sequence showed us again your extraordinary talent for emphasising peace and serenity in the midst of savage weather conditions. The closing sequence of rolling cloudscapes backlit by slowly setting sun is also new to my eyes and a great joy to study. Hang around for 1st prize.

Per, I watched it again for the 10th time. It continues to move me. Bob

Thanks!
To all who has been giving their comments to my film: Thank you very much for your kind words. I'm very honoured and humble to get such a feedback to my film.
I have learned a lot from your contributions too. Especially the way each of you have solved the theme. I have got new ideas how to create and film. It's a pleasure to be a part of this community. I think we all are winners even those who happend to be in the tank of sharks. Think about all fun we make for each other, every second month we gonna make new films to share for each other and the rest of the world. |
One small question Per are you recording 50i or 25p?
Regards Mick |
Hi Mick,
I'm recording 50i by now. But I'm going to try out the 25p or f-mode which the XLH1 support. The question about 50i vs 25p has been discussed alot over at the XLH1-forum. I think it's pro and cons with both. So at the end it is a personally taste what i will use in the future. Best; |
Per,
Thanks for the quick reply. Regards Mick |
