Verizon lost internet service here in San Angelo last night 25 minutes into a 1 hour transfer.

BIF_UC4_The_Rancher_And_Water.mov is uploading as I type and should over write an incomplete file.

Can someone please tell me how to send my video? I downloaded a free FTB but I still can't figure it out Bob

It's the exact same way we've done it in the past with FTP.
Only the user name and password are different.

I'll email you the instructions Meryem sent out.

What FTB are you using? I downloaded Drive HQ.com and still can't figure it out. I tried Cyberduck, no luck there. It is not asking me for the information in the directions. Where am I supposed to type in uwolfour? Where do I put in the password? Am I missing something? Bob

I had all the same problems as you. Here is what to do.
1. I assume you have a PC, not a Mac.
2. At the address bar at the top of the page type in: ftp://uwolchallenge.com
3. This should bring in a grey window where you type in a user name and password. There is a space labeled user name, and one labeled password.
4. If you get a page saying Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage, then do step 2 over again, or try ftp://ftp.uwolchallenge.com
4. After step 3, click log on.
5. You get a page called FTP root at uwolchallenge.com.
6.Click "Page", then "Open FTP site in Windows Explorer".
7. You may get another gray Log on window that says Bison4. X this out.
8. You now have a window called ftp://uwolchallenge.com/-Microsoft Internet Explorer.
9. Go to your desktop, click My Computer and navigate to the file that is your entry movie.
10. Copy your movie and paste it onto the page in 8.
11. They file transfer (with the little pieces of paper going from one folder to the other) should begin automatically. It will take 30-60 minutes.
I realize this explanation is rather simplistic, but I always like to have all these little (sometimes obvious) details in an explanation, and hope you do too.

On CyberDuck are you hitting "Open Connection"? That will open a window to allow you to enter the username password URL etc.

Steve, Thank you so much for responding. I get all the way to step 6 but then it will not accept the password I was sent. Bob

Bob,
By the time you get to step 6 there is no password required. If you are trying to enter a password in the window that has Bison4 as a user name, it's a mistake. Just get rid of the box. Even without the bison 4 you do not need to do any user name or password here. Get rid of the window. Underneath it should be the window in step 8. In the upper left hand corner should be the familiar choices for navigating through your own computer. You need to navigate to your movie, but don't use these choices. If you do, when you get to your movie, this window (8) will disappear. Go back to My Computer on your desktop to find your entry, leaving 8 alone until you need to paste to it.

Steve, still can't get it. I never see a screen with Bison4. When I entry user name and password it will not let me in. One time it got me to a windo tat said ftp://uwolchallenge.com-windows. And let me copy a file to there, but then what? Still will not let me login. Bob

If you have copied to a page that is titled ftp://uwolchallenge.com, you may have inadvertently submitted your entry!

I JUST GOT HOME

I need to know this too, is it July 23rd 11:59PM???


I have just been through a huge ordeal and I am literally about to pass out from exhaustion.

We went up to a remote spot in the woods to shoot waterfalls, rivers, and lagoons, we setup the tent on a huge sandbar, like we've done a few hundred times. Well, 10 minutes after we get there it starts to rain and hard. As the the four of us sat in one tent (the other tent sprung a big leak), it continued to rain -and rain -and rain. The friggin' forecast said 20% chance and half the sky was cloudless!!!! At any rate at about 3am the water level on the river rose so high and so fast we were literally stranded and being flooded at the same time. The hike out of where we were was a mile and a steep dangerous incline. The next morning, when it stopped raining and got light out, the once crystal clear rivers and waterfalls turned into chocolate milk (sediment) with heavy foam like 8 inches thick. It completely ruined my entire vision and I went through some extreme physical pain to get to this spot, argh. I still shot the choco milk waterfalls and it looks cool, but I don't have energy to edit tonight....

deadline is july 23, midnight, anywhere you are in the world. keep editing!

holy cow, look at all the entries, and we still have a whole day. mine should be going up as well....rolling shutter and all....

We still have a whole day? Now I feel like an idiot. I thought yesterday was the 23rd and was uploading at 11:30 trying to slip in under the wire. Oh well, at least I'm done.
