Will This Card Support a Widescreen Monitor?
 

I am in the market for a widescreen flatpanel monitor (not high-definition) and was wondering if my graphics card in my Dell XPS, which I purchased a few years ago, can support the resolution.

My card is listed on my Dell tech sheet as: "256MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800 XT Graphics Card."

Does anyone know what the maximum resolution such a card can supprt. Perhaps a widescreen monitor wouldn't be supported by this graphics card. I believe many such monitors are 1680 x 1050.
The bottom line is I don't want to throw money at a Dell Widescreen monitor only to discover I can't use the higher resolution.
