Using a 13" TV as a "Field Monitor"?

I'm shooting a commercial for a local jewler next week. I don't have a field monitor as of yet but was considering using a little 13" TV instead. I know it wont be anywhere as accurate as a calibrated field monitor but I figured I'd at least have a better view of it's framing (minus overscan) and focus. This this worth it or a waste of my time. Btw, I'm shooting it with a DVX100.

It all helps. I used to use a 13 inch TV until I got my 9" Sony monitor.
