I've been watching all my video either on my Mac or on my 36" Toshiba home television. I was thinking about a studio monitor, for optimum visual reproduction.

Does anybody use high quality studio monitors, like Sony's and Ikegami's? Seems like a good choice, kinda like bi-amped studio speakers or headphones.

Yes, using a professional production monitor with color-accurate phosphors and full calibration facilities is essential for doing accurate color correction work.

For non-portable work you'll want at least a 13" monitor.
