What's a good budget wireless HDMI system?
Hey gents, do you have any suggestions for a compact, simple but reliable wireless HDMI system? Something that you could plug into a camera for use with a Ronin, or send from camera to a director's monitor?
Thanks! |

Seems like it's a toss-up between the Teradek Bolt or the Paralinx Arrow depending on who you ask.

Hey Dylan,
Check out the one offered by Camera Motion Research (Black Bird guys). I think they are marketing a pro level wireless system for less than the Terradeck. Radian Steve |

As well, Dracast has a new wireless system (the Avinair) due immediately.

I'm looking for one of these at the moment. Paralinx Triton is too pricey for me. Paralinx Arrow might be just affordable, but is more than I want to pay. Teradek clip looks doable to me, but I have question marks about how to power it if you're just using a DSLR on a steadicam (which is my setup... should be fine for your Ronin).
Two very cheap options are: -- Nyrius (which for some reason has been discontinued, and the price has gone up from $275 to $400): At $275, Is This the Cheapest Universal Wireless HDMI Monitoring System Ever? -- Google Chromecast (which is about $30): Stream Wireless Video from Canon DSLR to HDMI Monitor with $30 Dollar Google Chromecast » CheesyCam There are other consumer HDMI streaming options. No idea how good they are. No idea how good the options above are either, for that matter. |

If so, that's $7,000, unless I'm looking at the wrong thing. Quote:
Paralinx Arrow -- $870 on B&H Teradek Clip -- $600 on B&H Teradek Bolt -- all the different Bolt models confuse me, but I can see a transmitter for $1900, and I think you can stream to iPad without a receiver Paralinx Triton -- $1,395 |
