The generator idea sounds great, and would work well for I think a large, expansive field as you are shooting. However, if dialogue/sound is important for something such as drama, I wouldn't think it'd be the best choice unfortunately. Any feedback? Thanks.

woa...yowsa, just looked up the price on this Honda generator. Looks good, but it'll cost a pretty penny, around a grand. For that amount of money, I think most would just be better off buying the new Nebtek field-sized LCD that goes for $1750 or so.

However, for applications such as yours; there's no doubt that it's really about the best possible solution.

Hi Eugene,

We were setting in the back of our 2 PickUps shooting the 2 arenas, and the Honda was setting on the ground in front of the pickups (about 19'), could bearly hear it.

Depending on your site, you should be able to run a 50' to 75' HD extension cord to minimize the gen noise. If your doing some "drama" type stuff, then perhaps you're either inside, or at least on a stage, and in either case should be able to have the gen some distance away to minimize it's noise.

Having been on batteries for the last 10+ years doing these horse shows, having this gen is a God send. In addition, it will power up my 5th wheel trailer.

It's a Win Win.

Harold
