Bride prep clip
Hey all,
Here's the bridal prep from the same wedding that I posted the groom prep. http://www.nosmallroles.com/isabelle_h264.mp4 It was a poignant day, cause the bride's father is dying, and it meant so much to her to have him there. Happy and sad at the same time. Quite emotional for everyone. This is much different from the groom prep. Very simple, almost no effects. I wanted it to come across as real as possible as a contrast to the preceding groom's section. Maybe Oleg will like that better! I've added subtitles this time for those of you who don't speak French. The song is a beautiful one by Richard Cocciante called "Pour elle". Comments always welcome, thanks. |
Very nice Vito. I thought something would jump out too when she took that dive =)

I would say the only thing that I would have changed was the footage where you could see the camera in the mirrors, kind of distracking.

Bonjour Vito, Great work my friend, the overall shots were nice. The story telling was also well done and the narration totally made the clips stand out. The song selection was also one of the strong points with this video.
Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing again. |
Vito!
I thought the piece has a great deal of "presence of life", of that particular bride, that day, which I find is very important. Documentary, live feel really makes me feel compassionate, be part of it, the song added to the feel, gave a different dimension, some depth to the piece. Thanks for sharing! |
Thanks, you guys, for the feedback.
It was a great wedding to work on. Fabulous couple, very open. Phillip, you're the second person that's told me about seeing cameras in the frame. It's always something I've done on purpose, but now I'm wondering if I should. Does anyone actually get feedback from couples that they don't like it? I've never had it mentioned once... |

It's not really that, Noel. It's that some videographers feel there should be no evidence of the photo/video team on the video. I've always felt the opposite. That we are a big part of their day, and perhaps there should be a hint here and there of our presence.

I see your point Vito but unless it's the couple themselves who complains I see nothing wrong in doing it.
