Trailer for the wedding 2 days ago...

Wedding shot on March 22, 09. Put together something small for a surprise to B&G.
There was Hindu Ceremony at 9AM for 1.5 hours then Western Ceremony at 11AM for 0.5hr. It was early, so tons of daylight!

I personally don't like vimeo on this video...
Also there is a black line across the screen 0:22, maybe from Twixtor?
I don't seem to be able to find a solution for that problem yet...
but please take a look and please help me to improve my editing skills.
Everyone's help is always appreciated!!!
Thank a ton ahead.

That was great! I loved how you edited to the music and how you told a story with your images. My favorite shot is of her looking in the mirror touching her hair, then you rack focused to the henna on her hand.

At the bridge of the song you switched gears and showed them at the reception dancing, which was brilliant! The sequence of images makes sense, and tells a story of their wedding. Good job!

Most of the footage is very nice, but the music does not feet to the editing to my taste.
I would use more slomos, as well more emotional footage.

I would do exactly those on highlight. Thank you for pointing that out.
This is a trailer (teaser), so most of shots have to be not too long and slowmos.
I was looking for more of spiritual / religious music for the teaser because there was traditional Hindu ceremony. I never thought I would use this music but everything fits very well with all the footages I had.
Bride and Groom love it and they were very surprised that this was 2 days ago...

Warren: Thank you so much! I am very into rack focus. It was early morning (6:30am) but a cup of black coffee before the shooting helped me stay alert throughout whole day!

Thank you, Don!
It was the Westin in Itasca. I am not sure if they changed the name of the hotel recently, but I have heard from one of the staff that the hotel has been under different names in the past few years, so you might be right.

"Bride and Groom love it"
And that's the bottom line.
Very good.

Don Bloom March 24th, 2009 08:11 PM

Nope Westin it is. On Thorndale by Rt53. Man I've shot a lot stuff there, weddings and seminars, I can't believe I didn't recognize this. It used to be "The Hamilton" then it became "The Wyndham" then Westin. Same place, different owners. I hate the tent, lots of backlight no matter what time of year or time of day BUT it does make for some nice shots

Nice work.

My favorite shot was the bride sitting on that leather chair. Very well composed.

I'm sure the B&G were pleasantly surprised

Could you share the title of the song? Sounds very familiar.

Thank you for sharing

Thank you, Carl. The song was from the movie "Gladiator". I cut the song here and there, but it''s the song that comes at very end of the movie.

It was well done, very dynamic, really enjoyed it!
CC, glow, blur, not my cup of tea, but that's matter of personal taste.
