HVX200 on a GlideCam edited w/FCS2 clip

Just playing and learning with my FCS2 upgrade.
I used Motion for the titles and Color to change the ski color. It was an overcast day.

Overall I liked it. The camera motion was nice and most of the shots were well composed. Personally I didn't like the titling in the first part of the video. Mainly because it had shadows that didn't truly interact with the environment, thus making them stand out more and just seem confusing. That's just my opinion though. Pretty location. The video didn't feel rushed or in a hurry, which was nice. What mode did you shoot this in?

Thank you for taking a peak at the video.
I was just playing with some of the footage. It is not a final edit for the customer.
I was just trying out the titles following an object. The footage wasn't appropriate for that, but the main thing is that I learned how to use it.
The clip was recorded at 720p24 some of it at 60 fps and some at 24 fps.
The slow motion with people was done in post. The rest of SM was in camera.

Overall I liked the work and I liked the change of pace. I thought that maybe some of the text got in the way of a beautiful shot. Maybe fade out the text sooner. JMO. Nice glidecam work.

Thanks for sharing.

Doug,

I thought some of your shots were a great advertisement for getting a stabilizer - the church exteriors would have been a little boring if they didn't have motion in them - but with movement they came to life.

I hated the titles over the shots!

In my view captioning either works 100% - or it doesn't work at all...and sometimes the answer is to keep it simple.

Having said that, I know it's always a temptation to try something new to jazz things up a bit - and sometimes it pays off!

Captions

The captions were neat, especially how you key framed them to match the camera movement & rotation, but I do agree that it was a bit hard to read in some places and impossible in others.
