What to buy a wedding videographer for XMAS?

over the past 27 XMAS's i seemed to have acquired everything i want: a bmx, a light saber, a walkman, socks, satsumas etc etc.

now my girlfriend is asking me to write a list of stuff i want this xmas, and i'm really stuggling. is a Letus35 Extreme a bit out of the question?! :)

what do u good, imaginative people suggest? (wedding video related)

Michael Nistler December 2nd, 2007 04:16 AM

Hi Richard,

Hmm, the imagination runs wild...

Graduated lens filters

Royalty-free music

NetFlicks subscription

And if the relationship is more "serious" <wink> maybe...

Marantz PMD620 Digital Recorder

iPod Touch (adhoc/quickie portable customer demos)

Training materials: Digital Cinema Video Training, Hollywood Camera Work, pro wedding instructional videos, etc.

Regards, Michael

How about a gift certificate from B&H? Or is that too impersonal.

Patrick Moreau December 2nd, 2007 11:22 AM

A gift certificate from Imacron so you can have more time off work.

Sony PMW-EX1 that's what you need.

A spare of anything you only have one of!

Ger Griffin December 4th, 2007 03:33 PM

can i help?

a nice monopod! they rock. You can pay anything you want for one too.

They start at about 30.00 units of money

go up to about 400.00.

great for the photo session. Find out about the tripod plate
used as this could be a factor.

I must get one myself.

Then again, theres always this. Notice how I didn't direct you to a new one!

Do you feel lucky?

Okay, if we're going to have some fun, I've got it - a mountain wingsuit! Every videographer should own one (sure beats wearing a Steadycam vest):

Enjoy, Michael

That's one of the most incredible things I've ever seen...

I used to jump out of planes (US Army paratrooper many eons ago) and I have to say Those guys are NUTS!
Wow, what a trip. Not that I would do it but it was really one of the if not the coolest thing I've seen in my life.
I guess the old adage of "if God had wanted man to fly He would have put wing on man" is true. He did!
Cool!

You go home as a properly wrapped present yourself, I would assume. ;)

I think I need to change my britches after just watching that. I got an adrenaline rush just watching that camera come within inches of the cliff.... And the music was awesome for that. :D

looked like a small chute pack on their back for the "final approach"? I think you can see a red chute unfurl right at the end... crazy stuff!
