I've used that trick several times very successfully. It certainly beats hours spent running cables. Just make sure you have a clear channel and are not causing anyone else any problems by adding in more RF.

I don't know the Azden bodypack but the Sennheisers have a screwed 1/8 jack input and cables can be bought or made up to go to 1/4 TRS.

Does your transmitter have a line/mic impedance switch or failing that, a gain control? If not, you may have problems with clipping or distortion when you connect a line input. You might even fry the bodypack if its a really hot signal from the board - not supposed to happen but it has been known.
