Thank you for the time guys!

Konrad Czystowski April 24th, 2008 09:12 AM

Once again, nice SDE. The rings time lapse is so awesome!
I like the editing, again.

Ethan Cooper April 24th, 2008 09:25 AM

Superb. I always love it when I see something new I can steal... errr... I mean admire. The ring timelapse was unique and well done. Are you actually shooting it timelapse or doing that effect in post?

Raphael Jamil Pranga April 24th, 2008 09:30 AM

Thank you Konrad!

Ethan, Alvin shot that and speeded it up during post. ^_^

Randy Panado April 24th, 2008 11:47 AM

Kamusta! That was a very nice SDE! I was surprised to hear the tagalog in the beginning, hehe.

I'm sure the b&g were VERY happy with it. Are you using a steadicam merlin for all those fly by shots?

Great video Pare. Keep up the good work.

Hi Randy! Glad to see another pinoy here! Thank you so much for watching!

We're using the glidecam 2000 pro ^_^

Winfried Dobbe April 26th, 2008 08:20 AM

Wow, liked it a lot! Many original ideas, including the card and ring time lapse.

Ram Purad April 26th, 2008 12:43 PM

Great work once again Raphael.

Like others, I like the creative ring shot. Very unique. Hope you guys washed the rings before giving them back to the couple ;-)

It's kind of odd to see the groom getting some touch up. But I guess that's common there.

Top notch editing. Great job.

Beautiful and entertaining. Loved it. Odd question ... but how long did it take for that frozen treat to melt? d;-)

Hey Raphael
Fantastic job! Very nice glidecam work and definitely a different level of work here. This video is going into my collection of top notch work. It must be fun not having restrictions on movement during the wedding ceremony. You are able to do some much more to create a production. One thing that bothered me was the quick cut at around 1:25? The shot where the bride looks at the tv then you cut to the tv then to her. Didn't seem to fit as it was on there for 1 sec and was a shaky shot. Thanks for inspiring me for my next job next week. I'm going to push myself. Thanks for sharing

Monday

Hi Ram! Thanks for the kinds words.

Hmmm, I guess it has something to do since the bride is a makeup artist herself... I guess the purpose of that is so he won't look that oily during the ceremony since he told us he sweats a lot. :p

haha, thanks monday! Actually, freedom during the ceremony usually depends on the priest, this one looked kinda friendly so i kinda abused it a little. hahaha!

Hmmm, for that shot, i really dunno since i'm the one shooting and alvin usually edits the SDEs, I guess it was the result of pure pressure. We're not perfect. ^_^

Thnx so much for the comment!

Hi Fiel,

Great stuffs. I couldn't help but smile @ the popsicle ring shot; funny thing is that back in Calgary a few months back Patrick and I did the exact same shot but with snow. Needless to say it didn't turn out as nicely as yours did.

Some comments; hope you don't mind the honesty..

- Watch the vignetting on your WA lens. I only say that because you and your team are so good now that minor stuffs like that starts to hurt the production value when showcasing your work to bigger clients. Get that new WA lens NOW! =).
- Be wary of your shadows when performing the glidecam work. I know how difficult it is to watch out for those things when shooting due to the amount of concentration required to get those shots to work.
- Shots of the eyes before the 1 min mark; the colour grading on that shot I could see some brides potentially complaining.

I really like the 2.35:1 masking. Also give my compliments to Alvin for the consistent quality of edits (as well as the rest of your team).

Michael
