Shooting weddings w/ XH-A1 in 60, 30 or 24?
Hi folks, just wondering what everyone's feelings are on which mode to film weddings in with the XH-A1? Thanks!

your taste...
I think it depends a lot of what is your style...for example if you need slow motions and don't mind a video look...60i, if you want a more cinematic look, don't mind limitations for slow motions and feel confident working with it, 24p. For something in the middle...30p...it need a bit more light though.
So...they all have something to gain and something to lose. and also here are ways to work around the limitiations.. Hope it helps. Osmany |
Absolutely. Thanks. I'm not too comfortable with 24p yet, I need a lot more practice. I tend to lean a little more toward the 30, but good reminder about needing a little more light for the 30, thanks!

I shoot 30F to get a bit of both worlds and when put on Blu-ray progressive or Internet I don't get the interlaced zig-zag.
One thing to keep in mind, the 60i is compatable with other cameras and players. The 24F and 30F is Canon specific so you need a Canon camera to capture/playback. Canon doesn't make a deck for HDV. |
