Buuzzzzz
Create the buzz! Send out a press release titled
" Don't Call it a Wedding Video! " or " This isn't/ain't your cousins Wedding Video" " Redefining A Wedding Video" yelling out that there is a change afoot in our industry. I still say no matter what, we should shake things up a little to get more eyeballs viewing more samples out there. I see a shift in more and more brides AND grooms telling me they loved thier ( insert relative here)'s wedding video and had to have one :) Thanks to whoever that was! They said mine blew it away:) In my neck of the woods wedding planners do all the booking. I ask them what is the main obstacle to the couple NOT wanting video. 1) Afraid that it will be a distraction... then tell a story about a wedding they went to and there was a team of people running around. They don't want that....( probably photogs ) 2) Negative perception of what a wedding video is... this is actually really close to number 1 3) My sister got one and she doesn't watch it, like ever. In closing, some buzz over a new definition of wedding video can't hurt anyone. Oh yeah... does the word Videographer actually exist? I won't spell check correctly in many spell check programs.... :) |
