Different style wedding highlights

Hey guys, I hope averybody had a nice day off yesterday. well a couple a week ago a did a wedding and this couple was really fun. The first dance was different from what I used to see, so I came out with this idea to the wedding highlights,

Please let me know what do you think?

Thanks in advance!

Nice job. You have a good collection of well exposed shots, but the opening portion of the video seems quite slow. Maybe some more cuts, including some of the prep (assuming you did bride and/or grooms house coverage) and different angles. As it stands there is over a minute of long shots from similar angles which can hurt the flow of the piece. Also, I like the idea of switching it up half way through and changing to the upbeat song (they are obviously a fun couple and it fits with their personality) but again, if you mix the shots of the bride and groom dancing with some shots from earlier in the day.

I would cut off the vows much sooner. I wouldn't bring the music in gradually. Just bring it in. Shorter clips would be much better as well.

Not bad

I would definitely place myself better for the ceremony procession and zoom in on faces. You want the audience to feel emotion when they watch this video and you can't feel anything if you can't see the faces of the people that convey it. I would lay off of the cross dissolves as well, a few here and there are really nice but during a fast paced dance, I (IMO) don't think they fit at all. Try and move around a little more as well, it looks like you drop your sticks and that's where you stay, I'd move around a ton and grab as many different shots as possible. This should really get the energy up in this clip. All-in-all not bad, but personally I think you've got to get some emotional shots in their somewhere.

Here's a few suggestions

1.) more shot variety - you have a lot of the ceremony and dancing bits ( wait a minute, thats what weddings are all about). You know what I mean
2.) try to improve your audio - sounds like you might have had some wind to deal with. The ocean sound was cool at first but got distracting for me.Also cut the loud scratch at the end of the vows. There are audio plug-ins available for your NLE to clean up noise and apply compression for vocals.
3.) On your ending credits - October spelled incorrectly
4.) More closeups as Josh pointed out.

OK, I make some change and fix October, uuupppsss!!!. lol and I was only recording the ceremony and reception, no prep.

Looked pretty good - definitely unique "dance" section...

Not sure about the jump cuts, seemed just a tad off beat to me.

And I'd second the comments on framing/shooting angles - of particular note... the back of the grooms head is NOT a flattering "first kiss" shot... Adding another camera/angle or two helps (I shoot 4), or plan your shots ahead (not easy, thus why I shoot 4 cameras!) so you're on you're "mark" for each shot.

I'm sure the couple will like it though!

Thanks, I need to get another camera for second shot, but economy is not that good for investment rigth now and I was limited to move in that wedding. I try my best.

What's your main camera? There are plenty of "cheap" small HD cams available that arent' too hard on the budget and shoot great footage.

Canon Xh-A1, I have a HV10, but compare to the XH, I don't like the way it looks
