Blake,
will let you know about similar shoot I do in 2009, you can work as second camera, you'd have to come to Moscow : ))

Art, thank you for watching!

I am very impressed by this. And I love the skin tones I see. Do you use an A1 to shoot this stuff? If so what preset are you using and did you CC in post?

Oleg Kalyan December 4th, 2008 02:58 AM

Кееs,
thank you.Yes, this wedding shot 95% with Canon A1 cam. Some shots done with HV30.
Developed my own preset, it's similar to a factory one, with addition of Cinegamma,
and the Setup -9, it turns out to be the least noisy.

Tend to do less and less CC in post, editing, most of the time do it for
color matching between similar shots.

Cheers!

Hi Oleg.

I really wanted to watch this clip in its entirety but I always have problems buffering Exposure Room. But I was able to watch the first minute and let me jsut say I love the quirky composition and editing. It was very fun to watch.

One stylistic difference I would do (just an opinion) would be to transition to a still image, perhaps BW, everytime the camera clicks.

I'll try to load the video in Chrome.

Cheers! and thanks for sharing.

Almost thought this was a private session done before or after the wedding day.

No it was done all on a wedding day. We had about 2.5 hours to share with Vera, the photographer.
The rain finally poured during late photo session, and the couple had to get to the ceremony on their own feet together with the crew (the footage shows :)
two hours later rain stopped, we took a few more shots in a beautiful park.
