smooth shooter or handheld

I recently just got a smooth shooter. How many people use this for weddings or just hand hold for interesting shots.
This thing is also harder than I thought.

Hi Mike,

Yes it does get a little daunting at first but its well worth the effort of going thru the learning and skill curve. As everyone will tell you practice is the key, then practice some more. . . hehe...

We use it all the time for weddings and we also are fans of going hand held as well. The glide shots adds another dimension to your shot lists and just make your work shine a bit more. We get a lot of reactions when we strap this thing on.

There are much better systems out there, anything Steadi-cam for one, but once mastered this little guy can do quite a bit. You can also upgrade to the X10 just by changing the non elastic arm and vest connector. We've done this too and it does make a noticeable difference, but hence we've entered a new learning curve again. . . . practice, practice.

Hope you enjoy it, and that I can't stress enough. Have fun using it and it won't feel like drudgery and it will be reflected in your work.

Regards,
GMan
