it sounds like waterproof housings are required for beach footage... scares me because we do a LOT of beach weddings and engagement interviews here in sunny san diego, ca... and i don't currently use any kind of protection on the cameras.
ever use one of these? keep it dry case for the vx2100 http://www.keepitdrycase.com/ewamarinev2000.html sizing chart for other cameras: http://www.keepitdrycase.com/vidcamhousra.html and no, i don't know anything about this company or product, so any reviews or links to other products are much appreciated. |
I'll add my 2cents on beach protection. Having lived in Florida for 36 years, I've ruined my fair share of electronic toys at the beach. It's not only the sand, but the salt spray in the air will permeate EVERY nook and cranny of your gear. Total enclosure is the only guarantee, even if that only means a plastic bag and a bunch of gaff tape. Personally I would only take my lowest end cameras on the beach again, or rent someone elses. The damage from salt may not show up for a day or so, return your rental quickly... :-)

Again...I say
Again....I say "RRRRREEEEENNNNNNTTTTTTT". You will avoid the headache.

hello guys, just want to ask if the VC2000 of ewa be sufficient in protecting the camera? it is something like a rain cape. Or the rain slicker is better? thanks |
