Wedding Packages
Just out of curiosity, For those of you who do weddings what video packages do you offer. Meaning what final product do you give them. I am wondering how I should present my video to my clients. Should I make a highlight of the events during the day, from pictures, to "I do's", to reception. Or should I do something different.

There are sections that are edited in Vignette format (Bridal Prep, Photosession, and Highlights) and the rest is more standard coverage. |
I recently started up a videography company where I make feature style mockumentary wedding films* (as well as shorts, special features/featurettes, audio commentary, etc). We shoot 20-30 hours of footage per wedding (generally 2, sometimes 3 cam ops - everything starts well before the actual wedding day). The feature is basically the story of the B&G and the looming wedding and all the drama that's attached to getting married (very interpretive). Like a custom one-off movie made for the couple based on their wedding experiences.
*everything is digital; I mean film in the filmic sense - narrative: story, pacing & continuity, and technical: editing, processing, 24p, etc |
Patrick,
Your approach sounds very interesting. Would you mind sharing how much you charge for this type of production? It's a lot of work -- 20-30 hours just for taping. Also, I'd love to see some examples of your work if you have any you'd like to share. Best Regards, Pete |
I offer two packages. One is event coverage without options. The other is expanded event coverage with one option included. Each package has a different price for single or dual camera coverage. All of my products include extensive editing to make a structured story line that is entertaining to watch.
