We recently starting to offer lighting service at events. It makes a big difference of how the atmosphere mood and feel changes using these uplights. We also have GOBO projection light as well as pin light. Photos and video turns out a lot nicer. Usually not much color correction work is needed.

Hi Taky,

Looks great. Is there a standard basic uplighting 'kit' you'd recommend to be able to offer this to clients?

Noel Lising December 20th, 2009 09:42 PM

Joel, you can use bambino lights with base to for uplights or you can use Par 64 lights with floor stands.

Nice lighting Tacky.

The basic package we offer is $600 with 20 to 25 uplights.

Taky, could you tell us what model(s) you use? Or a list of what lights and other acc. you use to create that mood.

Thanks,

I love it.

Taky, that sounds like an interesting approach to the problem. I think I remember in another post you indicated that venues are often poorly lighted not because people are unaware of the bad lighting, it's because they don't want to pay extra for good lighting.

Kelly, we will be start selling these LED uplights soon. There will be more info later. =)

Galen, these uplights will enhance the mood at the reception ballroom. However, it will not be a solution when shooting in a dim lit room. It does help a bit but when someone giving a speech there, without proper video lighting, it will still be bad.
