Hameed:

I think Chris Harding may already (and rather recently) have posted a sample of his contract. Couldn't find the link, but its been that kind of day.

It is interesting to see the differing views on proof copies. Whether you do give them, don't or won't almost seems like regional thing.

I do agree that one should never call it a "draft" copy. That is why I've used the term "proof" copy. I tell the clients that I'll make corrections, but they have to pay me to re-edit the video.

Maybe it is where I work, but the proof copy is usually the final and I haven't had any nightmare clients yet. Might just be the local culture, though. The changes I've been asked for are usually simple (such as, the bride's mother's name was spelled "Lynne" in the program but she actually goes by "Linn"). The rare editing changes --- maybe one in fifty for me --- is something very easy such as dropping a 15-second clip of a particular relative's comments.

Hi Jay

Probably I did but I'm having a "seniors moment" at present (I have no idea when or where!!)

Hameed, I can easily email you a copy if you wish but your profile has both email and PM's turned off.
If you care to email me (from my profile) I can then gladly send you a copy if you want the whole thing but the essential bits are :

COPYRIGHT PERMISSIONS Softweigh Multimedia reserves all rights to use original and/or duplicate video for demonstration, publication, or other purposes.
EXCLUSIVE AGREEMENT The Client is retaining Softweigh Multimedia as the exclusive videographer to cover this event. The Client grants Softweigh Multimedia full production and editorial control regarding all aspects of this production and post-production

Hope this helps

Chris

Thanks

Jay,

I was asking Chris specifically since he is in Australia and so am I. It will be more relevent. I just wanted to have a look and sort of compare it to what I have. I am planning to show mine to a lawyer friend of mine to go through it as well.
