Where can I get Tokina 11-16mm ? (out of stock all the time!)
 

Anyone have bought this from other place online safely? other than b and h and adorama
it seems that this item is out of stock for years!!!

Any alternative as well.

The lens appeared at a bunch of different outlets for a short time and now its unavailable again. I had one pre-ordered at Adorama but ended up buying it on ebay from cameralandny.com using bing cashback and buy it now. They had roughly 20 available and they were all gone in a one afternoon. Adorama was in the middle of their passover break at the time but when they came back they had a supply for a short time too.

By the way - its a very useful lens. Worth putting in a backorder for instead of finding an alternative IMHO. Considering the speed, price and unique zoom range its a great choice.

(The vignetting I'm seeing is caused by the ND fader - I realized I'd put it over the protective UV filter, and that was just enough to get it into the lens' field of view. Also, if you look at the top of the frame you can occasionally catch a glimpse of the dead cat on the shotgun mic..)

I use a Tokina 10-17 f/3.5-4.5 for still photography, slower than the 11-16 and not a constant aperture, but I'm happy with it. Very sharp and does give a little wider range, FWIW.
