I didn't get that she "wanted to pay top dollar" at all - it sounds like she's a "grinder". These are bad enough prior to shooting. When it comes to deliverables, they are a NIGHTMARE. I find that if grinders can't get their way on price, they'll get it in revisions. After "signing off", they invariably want to change "just a LITTLE thing".

I walk away from these clients (and again, I'm not a WEDDING videographer but the business end of things is not much different - grinders are grinders).

Sigmund and Shaun is right, I'd rather save that precious Saturday for a couple who really wants me there and doesn't haggle me for a bunch of little stuff to begin with. I can't imagine the headache she will give me in the editing faze. There wasn't any verbal agreement or contract. She even told me that she was looking around as we were wrapping things up. If she talks bad about me then so be it, I've come to realize that our services or final product can't please everyone even the brides we do book.

The GREAT NEWS, is that I got a call at 4pm yesterday while waiting to pick up my wife from a bride that wants the same date and "LOVES" my work. The venue is amazing and she is very excited to have my team there to document her day. She ended up going for my top-of-the-line package and will hopefully sign the contract this Thursday.

I'm glad I did what I did. I never did hear back from the first bride regarding me email.

I wouldn't have even e-mailed if she was still looking, just let the fates take their course (as they apparently have!). Sometimes saying nothing is better...
