Roland VR5

I've picked up an assignment to produce high school sports for a new digital branch of the biggest newspaper here in Maine. I've been busy researching equipment that will allow me to produce a top quality production with limited manpower. Since we will be at various sites, i need something mobile and SIMPLE. With that said, has anybody gone hands-on with the new Roland VR5? Here is the info from the roland site.

I notice that the input options are composite or S video only. You are not going to get top quality with that.

I haven't used this switcher myself, but I have used others with digital as well as composite/S video analogue inputs. The quality difference between the digital and composite/S video inputs was very obvious.

Also, you didn't say if "top quality" means high definition. If so, it's going to be a lot more expensive to find a switcher.

It might help if we knew what exactly you are needing this for - recording, live streaming, live relay on large screen or what?
