I have been impressed with shots I've gotten from the little Somy RX100. It does decent with low light and is a great travel camera as well. Limited to 29 minutes though. It does good on auto, but has manual controls as well. I've read about overheating with these types of cameras, but I just used this one for a couple hours at a reception. I put it on a table on a 4" tripod aimed at the dance floor and nobody notices the "little point-and-shoot camera" as it records full HD shots of the party. Great for another angle! It has saved me when my other cameras were blocked or the lights were too low. I have also used it at the foot of the stage pointing down the isle durning weddings. It is small and light.
