Beauty Pageants
 

I have been contacted to record a few beauty pageants. They told me I would be their only videographer, and I would have all the rights to the footage. I could sell each contestant a short video which would have highlights of the event. I have no idea on how to price this? Any suggestions. Also, in return, I would be named on the pageant website and have a link to my own website. But I can make money off of the event if I sell them a video. How much should I charge per video? Thanks in advance.

Two of my daughters participate in Competitive Dance. While not a beauty pageant, it is a similar venue. The typical 3 minute video goes for $12-20.

My mate here does much the same thing. However what they do is provide on the spot videos to each performer on the night! The cameraman shoot the footage and the contestant gets it on a USB the same night. It's a clever system as there is no editing at all. They charge $30 per drive

You could also poke-around and find Beauty Pageant websites, then look around and see if they have either their own in-house video guy, or links to a third party. You might be able to find pricing information there
