Hi everyone,

Like many of you who have shot weddings and events over the years, one recurring bottleneck in my post-production has always been client media intake for reception montages and slideshows.

Between texted phone screenshots, disorganized cloud folders, low-res scans, and last-minute requests to swap slides the week of the event, prepping and sorting the files often took longer than building the actual timeline.

I finally sat down and coded a dedicated intake portal (MediaOrder) where the client is forced to upload, sequence, and lock their photos and notes before I ever download anything to start editing.

Curious how other long-time event editors here are currently handling client media submission and revision cutoff policies, and if anyone active would be interested in kicking the tires on the intake portal to give me some candid feedback on the workflow.

Wowza. That sounds like a huge headache. I'd be inclined to get the thing done and published before anyone has a chance to ask for changes. Yikes!

Definitely the right solution to get the client to do all the thinking through of the photo choices and ordering before you have to touch it.
