We charge quite a bit more for an HD wedding video, so we only supply one camera man at this time. However for those wanting a SD project, I will use the XLH1 and will have the other guys shoot on the XL2. I have yet to combine the two in the same video, but I'm sure it'll be okay.

Doug, when you say panning around with the HDV in the SD timeline, do you mean importing the HDV file, full res., and then moving it with keyframes? If so..yes, I've tried it, but I don't like how the movement looks.

yes Lowell I do mean that, but you would need necessarily to have movement in the frame, I was also thinking of the advantages of being able to go from say a medium shot to a close-up etc in post.

Doug, you're a genius! I didn't even think about that..it's so simple too! that would definately add more to this video. Thanks, I'll try to get another copy posted soon with some of the changes that have been suggested.

hey, Lowell and I work together on videos and what not, he must not have seen the post, but anyway, he filmed it in 60i in HD mode and down-converted it for the sameday edit. We use 60i because you can get much higher quality slow-motion with it.
