That sounds reasonable. What is the lenght of final DVD is going to be with all extras?

Great job- I really enjoyed your use of vo's and interview shots with the event footage.

In regards to the amount of "time" taken in post- way too much. I'm shifting towards a short-form style so there will no longer be a delineation between regular coverage and montages (bridal prep, highlights, and the like). I'm shooting for a run time between 20-30 minutes.

Your piece was very close to what I consider short form- a llittle more natural audio, more of the ceremony, and a little less abbreviated an it's there. I find it's a very salable product.

the merlin comes with a quick release attachment and also comes with a attachment to a tripod. so i don't know how much these attachements would cost but it makes the price difference between the glidecam and merlin a little smaller.

doesn't the bride and groom generally want to see their wedding uncut from beginning to end? do you serve this purpose by giving the raw video?

Don't wanna' kiss your ass or anything but. . . Very nice work. I love the shots and the colors. The editiing was right up there. Everything flowed well together.

That was incredible! However given the amount of time taken to do that in post I believe it will be next to impossible to make money!

Compared to the average wedding videography that ive seen in Canada, id say that a package like yours if in Toronto would go for a MINIMUM of 3 grand+.

Not to revive this old thread, but thanks for the kind words Michael. I've got a job booked in September and they want a same-day-edit. That'll be my first and it's gonna be challenging.

I was trying to check out the clip you posted, but the file size is really huge. Do you have a more web-friendly version? I think other folks were having trouble as well (is it a 720p clip?). My computer can't even play back 720p smoothly (xp1800). Boy, I guess it's really time for an upgrade.

I think I'll have a go at the wedding market here in Vancouver. It definitely won't be as pretty as in Sydney, Australia, where it's sunny about 95% of the year. It's really the complete opposite here in Rain-couver. Sigh. I've got to make my move down to California soon.

Wow. You mean editing on the fly? There are a few wedding productions here that have cranes on FX1's I believe, 2 operators + one guy directing the camera operators + one guy editing on the fly on a high end Apple setup.

I havent witnessed this myself but a photogrpaher I worked with told me about it was impressed to say the least.

Lemme know how yours turns out, i'd love to know.
