How to use IRiver ???and more..

Hi all !

I am just getting started with wedding videography and still have a lot on my head.
So, one of my questions would be:
What do I do with Iriver? Please learn me ,why is imperative to have an Iriver??(backup sound just for ceremony?) and how exactly I handle it,where do I have to attach it etc...Everything...
I want tot buy wireless mic.
I finally decided to go for either JVC GY-HD100U(i heard they fixed the problems) or CanonXL2 .Any suggestions from you the professionals???
You have been always ready to lend a hand for everybody .
Cam Lights any hints, please?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Todd, not to brush you off but there's so much information here regarding the iRiver that a simple search should give you more than you need.

Just avoid the new "T" series. Stay in the 700 - 800 series which are not made any more and although rare can still be had.

The simple answer is that you should always have a mic on the groom. Put a wireless and/or iriver in the grooms coat pocket (behind the lapel) and clip the mic on the lapel. Hide the cable the best way possible. You MUST get good quality audio and a mic close to the couple is the only solution. Do not skimp on audio quality. Get a $500 Sennheiser wireless mic or quality UHF equivalent setup. If you get crappy audio due to poor quality equipment, it will be a nightmare that haunts you for months.
