SDE Clip

Hey everyone, it's been a bit since I've put something on here. This was a sameday edit we did about a month ago. Check it out, let me know what you think.

It's not a bad edit, but don't you think they would want to see some of the wedding in their S[wedding]DE?

Oh, sorry I didnt clarify, this was a photo shoot after a mormon wedding. Due to certain beliefs they do not film the actual ceremony, just afterwards around the temple...

I really liked the image itself- the colors and contrast really seemed to pop (maybe thats my new glossy lcd though...lol). I also thought there were some pretty amazing shots in there. Overall, I think it was a little on the boring side for as it was all footage of the photo-session, which is understandable considering what you mentioned in the prevous post. I also noticed a lot more camera shake and the motion seemed much rougher overall, compared to some of your other work I have seen.

I really liked it Eric. I maybe would have had the cuts comming a little quicker in parts, but you may have not had the material.

really good.

white blown out transition

Hi Eric,

I like all the productions you made and posted here and especially in the previous ones (joel&jill) as most of your camerawork convey dynamic feeling.

A newbie question though, how do you achieve white blown out transition which gives a film-look-touch? is this done internally in FCP or are there any plugin used?

Thanks for sharing....

Thanks for the comments guys, there are a few things that need a little touching up, I used the Glidecam 2000 handheld this time and not with the magiquam system so ya, there are a few annoying shakes.... but about the white transitions, I simply created a white picture in Photoshop then at the edit I just drop in a single frame on a different track then add a cross disolve in front and behind and adjust accordingly, it tends to get the job done. The additive dissolve in FCP just doesn't have the feel I look for in such transitions.....

Eric
