Slide Show Transitions
 

I've searched the threads and haven't seen what I'm looking for. I'm doing a football slideshow and the client gave me a DVD from three years ago. I was a blown away. I loved it. Granted, the old DVD had better photos (professional) and they gave me crappy photos. Trash in- Trash out.

But the TRANSITIONS! I can't do what I saw done with iPhoto or FCP. The photos transitioned/morphed into globes, into Japanese paper birds, into perspective-angled roads running beneath the next photo. In short, the transitions were much more exciting. They caught my attention where as mine just fade in with the pictures.

So does anyone know where I can get such a fabulous toy?

If I remember correctly, and forgive my old brain's ability, but I remember using Pinnacle and there either being within Pinnacle or a plugin in Pinnacle that gave you the globes and birds. I believe that is what you're refering to, or atleast it's the possibility I have seen.

Thanks Stephen, I tried to check out Pinnacle. I didn't see what I was looking for, but it may be hidden in the program and not featured on their website. By the way, I finished the job and it was a disaster. It wasn't bad, but the customer wasn't happy. My wife concluded the customer is one of those people who can never be happy with any thing if they can't personally manipulate the project, and since they lack the talent/skills, they must depend on others to be their fingers. Rarely do fingers from one person correspond with the brains of others. Needless to say, my wife and I placed a curse on the customer. We've turned it over to Karma. It may take a month or it may takes thirty years, but Karma always has a way of delivering justice.

You do remember correctly, Steven. You're brain is doing just fine. I used Liquid Edition Pro 5.5 before switching over to FCP. The 3D type transitions he was referring to came from Hollywood FX. Some basic ones were supplied but you could upgrade all the way to Hollywood FX Pro and it gave you a stand-alone editor to create your own stuff.

There are some good after market effects for FCP as well but those 3D transitions have become 'cheesy' in current trends.
