Using Raylight to Convert P2 Media
 

Anyone using Raylight to convert P2 Media so you can work in Vegas?

Is it easy to use, efficient? Will we be happy using Vegas/Raylight to edit P2 content. Will we love Vegas? We're currently using Avid Xpress DV (Don't get me started on my many ways of disliking Avid!)

When my technical manager said one could drop MXF files straight on the Vegas timeline I didn't really believe him - after installing Raylight I dropped a MXF on the timeline expecting a funny error message and/or BSOD, instead the clip showed up. With audio. And I could preview at 20fps. I almost fell off my chair.

Raylight is just brilliant. No converting, and a four level preview quality switch.
