Wide-angle lens fx in Vegas 8 ???

Hi,
Has anybody tried to achieve the effect of wideangle lens with Vegas? The only fx I tried is "Deform", but unfortunately it is not possible to stretch the image exactly like a wideangle lens, i.e. I can only stretch it left-right, whatever I experimented with that effect. To be more clear, I dont want to get a fish-eye effect (spherical form)!!! I need to do so that all the angles of the image to look stretched from the center same like with wideangle lens. I have such an effect plug-ins for Photoshop only.
I hope I am clear now. Please for any suggestions and ideas.

If you can't find a plug-in to do this in Vegas, you could try exporting an image sequence from Vegas (there's a script for doing this), doing a batch process in Photoshop and then resaving the frames for subsequent import back into Vegas.

How about Track Motion? This will s - t - r - e - t - c - h an image across the screen? Can you supply a PS version of this?

it's not quite what you're looking for mabye, but have you checked a slight pinch FX? Maybe combined with a crop etc...

Thanks

Pinch/Punch should get you close. I used it in reverse to reduce the severity of a fish-eye lens that the client thought was too heavy.
