Why is there an option to burn a VCD from the timeline, but not a DVD?

I'm needing to burn quicktime clips at 24p to a 24p dvd. The only way I can see to do this is in two stages: Vegas MPEG-2 23.976 (+3-2 pulldown) then render again in DVD-Architect.

There should be a way to do this on-the-fly without the multi-stage renders, but I can't figure it out.

Hmmm... I have CS3 also... maybe I can figure out a way to set this up in Premiere.

DVDA won't render, only "prepare" (i.e. create the necessary files) a properly rendered file.
If you don't give DVDA the proper file, then it will re-render.

i believe the question and the context in which it was asked is clear enough... thx anyway.

Rob, as Mike said, there won't be "multi-stage renders". You simply render ONCE. As long as it's a DVD compliant file, DVD Architect will then simply use that file and will NOT render again.

From the timeline, Vegas can do either VCD or Blu-ray without menus. DVD does require using DVD Architect which can create a DVD with or without menus. So after rendering in Vegas, open DVD Architect, do a File - New - Single Movie, pick that one file, and then prepare and burn and you're done. A DVD without a menu which only took a few seconds on your part to create.
