You obviously missed the fact that the Vegas capture tool currently will not capture 24f footage shot on a Canon XH-A1. Had I been able to capture in Vegas in the first place, I would never have needed to look for something like HDVSplit.

HDVSPlitt is also not taking the 24p right :-) so what do you want? A system that never works or a workaround? HDVSplitt is splitting on the time code change and is leaving the GOP for the next scene open which is hazzardous for Vegas management. Which one is the right way? I don't know. But don't get me wrong. I liked HDVSplitt as it is a small little prog that is not taking too much system resources during capturing and the risk of dropped frames is minimal but if it is not working properly together with Vegas 8 what can you do. Vegas 7 could handle it but the HD handling is much better in 8.
Just the heretical question, do you have to bring you footage to film or why are you shooting in 24?
