Picture In Picture
Is there a way to place a picture in picture using Vegas Pro 8?
If there is, does anyone know a link to a tutorial? Rich |
I am not familiar with Vegas, but with any NLE I have ever used, I do the following:
(1) Place the two target layers of video directly on top of each other, being sure that the video to be shrunk is on the higher layer (2) Select the higher layer video and go to it's properties (3) Adjust the scale to a size that you see fit...in your case, perhaps 30% or so. (4) Position the video to the proper location either by dragging it in the preview window, or manually changing the x and y coordinates Hope this helps... -JS |
John is correct with the way he said it. In Vegas, you'd want to use Pan/Crop (or Track Motion could work too) on the upper-most track (the one you want to make the smaller picture).

Rich, take a look at Vol. 1, #2, 3 & 4 of Edward Troxel's newsletters as he gets into the details of PIP.

Andrew, PIPs are actually much easier using Track Motion than Pan/Crop. While they both will work, I would recommend Track Motion first for creating PIPs.
Rich, as Mike said, check out those newsletters. They go into significant detail. |
