Adobe Illustrator into Sony DVD Architect file format

What format is the best for a DVD menu into Sony DVD Architect from Adobe Illustrator.
JPEG,BMP,PNG ETC...

I'm test driving this software and trying to find the best file format to export to DVDArchitect.

PNG would be good. It's very compatible to the Sony products and is lossless unlike JPEG.
