DVD arch 3 question - after I create a button, can I get it to link directly to video?

I might have gone about things the wrong way. I hadn't rendered out my video yet for the DVD project I am working on. I went ahead and made a DVD project in Arch3 along with all the buttons and graphics. Now I want to link the buttons to the media, but the links all seem to go to a sub-menu instead of directly to a video. Not sure where I went wrong on this one...probably something simple. Any help would be appreciated.

David, I could be wrong, but I think you might need to have the video ready first before making the buttons. I believe I have tried to make the DVD menu first before and ran into the same issue. Maybe someone else knows how to link up the buttons you've already created, but as I recall I had to redo the menu.

Crap, that is what I was afraid of. Oh well, if I have to then I have to redo - but hopefully not. Thanks for the reply.

Don't give up completely. Edward or someone else may come along with the info you need. I often jump in with my opinion or experience and find out I've been doing something wrong or inefficiently. That could absolutely be the case here. I've had your same problem but never sought a solution, I just started over from scratch. Of course if you don't have time to wait for other feedback there's not much you can do but start from scratch.

heres a way to do it. Bring the appropriate video into DVDA after rendering of course or not but anyway, I bring the vid in and then make the button TEXT only then F2 and get rid of the text and simply place the empty but LINKED button over the button or graphics that I have in place. Should be no problem. I do a lot of menus and buttons in Photoshop and use this method quite a bit.

HOW did you create the buttons? If you created sub-menu buttons, you'll need to change them to regular buttons instead. If you created "Empty Buttons", you can point them to any video you want AFTER you add the video to the project.
