What bit rate?

Paco Hermosillo January 23rd, 2009 11:18 PM

mpeg 4 is one good way or AVI
But I dont think you can upload more then 5 seconds in HD
unless your willing to pay $59.95

Totally untrue. I have hours of HD on Vimeo. Youu just have to work on your compression techniques.

I've used the MainConcept or Sony H.264 rendering settings converting my videos from 1080i to 720p. I think they are coming out fairly true to form and you can upload in HD without paying the price. You're just limited to I think 500Mb of uploads per week to get "HD" quality.

For me it was totally worth the price to buy a Vimeo membership because I wanted to be able to customize the player and have specific controls over who can view what. Very worthwhile.
