Excalibur, Tsunami,......what's next?!
Ed just wanted to drop you a line and see how Tsunami is going for you. It was exciting to see it listed in the official Sony catalog. Do you have any plans for new scripts- add-ons for Tsunami...new script sets all together?
|
There's a few things in the works. A little to early to talk about them, though.

Looks like Neon is next...
The minds that brought you Excalibur have done it again. Neon features 14 Wizards that will make your editing easier and faster than ever before. Neon even helps you with DVD authoring. The Asset Collector Wizard will make it easy to create all the files you need from your project. Tools include: Save VEG WIZARD saves your project in several places and automatically names each successive save. No more hunting for your VEG directory! Asset Collector Wizard sets up all your renders: Mpegs, AC3, AVIs and Still Frames....all in one operation! PBS Wizard instantly turns your boring photo project into a TV-style montage with gentle zooms on all selected images. Storyboard Wizard gives you a whole new way for you and your clients to see the flow of your project Overlap Wizard finally gives you a way to quickly overlap events with a specific duration. You also get a stand-alone version so you can overlap with one keystoke! Radio Fade Wizard is perfect for montages. It takes any set of audio events and realigns them with great sounding cross fades. Also included are Desquiggle Wizard, Frame Fix Wizard, Goto First/Last Marker Wizard, Find Unused Wizard, Apply Effects Wizard, Tilt Wizard, Four Points Wizard. http://www.vegastrainingandtools.com |
Yep, next is Neon. Look for another update to the FilmLook script hopefully next week as well.

Awesome- just one question....why "NEON"?
|
Why Not???
|
More precisely, keeping with the name of "Vegas", Excalibur is a hotel in Vegas, there are TONS of "NEON" lights in Vegas. It seemed somewhat appropriate. We also decided to stick with the "Wizard" theme as well.
|
Edward,
OK then, I'll be the SA ;-) I know what a Tsunami is and I know there is no hotel in Vegas named that, so I have to ask, how did you arrive at the name? Not that there's anything wrong but it is a different way to go. Don BTW, whats going on with the weather by you? |
You mean they don't have tidal waves in Vegas????? (How about one of the water parks, maybe?)
I developed Tsunami totally independent of the Excalibur/Neon "Wizard" nomenclature. I then started looking for a distinctive name for the new script. I actually did an internet search looking for "interesting words" and, eventually, settled on the word Tsunami with the catch-phrase "A wave of editing tools". |
AHHHHHH, now I understand. A wave of editing tools, very creative.
I've haven't heard of any tidal waves in Vegas(the city) but I seem to recall something about a Scieche (sp) in Chicago over Lake Shore Drive back in the mid 50's (some kind of inland water mini tidal wave) I wonder if that could count. Thanks Edward for clarifing that, I'll sleep better now ;-0 Don |
Anything for the betterment of health and good sleep.
