Philippe: I could not find that information in my notes. I have
brought this thread to the attention of John (Roger is someone
he knows) to see what he can arrange etc.

Peter and Bob, thanks for your suggestion , the Zaxwerk one is really amazing :)

Rob : thanks for your time , i'll be on the lookout for that one

I started playing with Boris Red and it is pretty good so far. Still doing the tutorials though

Yea the Zaxwerks Pro Animator is awesome. I still have yet to perfect it. Too many programs to learn, so little time.

Phillippe and Rob,

Sorry I'm so late chiming in. I've been TKO'd by the flu for the past week and before that was out of town for most of January and the first of February.

Roger Yamauchi is actually Brazilian-Japanese, living now in Tokyo. Portuguese is his first language, so if you write to him, keep your English short and simple. He can be contacted at roger3d @ lime. ocn. ne. jp . (without all the spaces, of course).

I know he uses Maya and something called "Nurbs", I believe.

Good luck.

Thanks for your time John ,

I will contact him promptly , thank you for letting me reach him.

Mr. Galt ,

Still playing with Boris and here is what I created during one of their tutorial..... pretty nice. I'm sure there could be a way to do the same in Vegas but in Boris it is just way easier.

You can download from there:

Enjoy

Well I got really excited about ProAnimator, and even played with the preset animations yesterday. Then today I tried to actually start using it, and I continually get "Not enough memory for operation" after which it just dumps the program with no opportunity to save the work. I am running it on XP, but it seems to be a MAC-originated program. Is this how most Mac programs work? This is too big an issue to ignore. If I can cause catastrophic faliures in the first minute doing nothing more complicated than creating a text object, it is certainly not good enough to trust when I am on a paid, time-sensitive project. I can just imagine losing a major amount of work due to a program stupidity. And the $895 price seems ludicrous for such an unstable program. Any other suggestions out there?

Bob Benkosky February 12th, 2005 07:18 PM

Yea luckily they give out a demo. I've gotten that error too....really sad indeed with 1 gig of memory.
