What's new in Vegas? Any details out yet?
|
Nice- I really enjoyed last years stream. Thanks Jay and Liam.
Can you make it downloadable like last year? |
"What's new in Vegas? Any details out yet?"
yes, but only to certain dealers who are now on a gag order until its release and rightly so... I dont Blame Sony for being paranoid. (and im not exhagerating or blowing bubbles, i just cant talk about it.. so i wont ) |
If it's anything like the changes from 4 to 5. I'd say this time around they added a 3D modeling program that rivals Lightwave and even a handy little tax program for handling your returns. Hey and maybe we'll be able to do our online banking and image editing through Vegas. Goodbye Photoshop. ;) Actual changes to the "standard" editing functionality- who knows. lol
|
Glen, don't let out all the secrets. (You left out the automated tax filing based on all projects edited.) :-)
|
Ohhhh ohhh, they added THAT too! Awesome! I'm crossing my fingers they leave in the word processor and email client too. Not to mention direct links to the Vegas chat server right from the tool bar above the timeline.
Imagine that- chat and edit at the same time...man am I getting amped! This was the answer I was looking for to up my productivity. |
what i do want to see in V6 is an easier way of turning 4:3 to 16:9, be it with a cropping wizard, or something just as easy...

You don't like just opening Pan/Crop and picking the 16:9 preset? |
Unless there is something incredible about Vegas 6, I'll probably stay with 5 for the time being. Maybe wait for 7.
|
what about those of us that just bought vegas + dvda?
|
those whove just bought it will be able to get a discounted upgrade. Obviously proof of purchase etc will be required etc etc
with regard to V6, there will be enough changes and new fetaures to warrant an upgrade |
As long as it handles CF24 HDV & Downconverted DV footage, and nativley captures HDV, I am a happy man. This way I won't have to keep doing it the manual way.

Benns, it really depends on WHEN you bought it. There will be a cut-off date. Any copies purchased AFTER that date will get a free upgrade. I don't know what that date is. |
